Hey guys! The major construction is preeetty much finished on my fish room rebuild project and I’m wrapping up all the important details before the aquarium and terrarium racks start arriving from Custom Aquariums, who is graciously contributing to this project by providing all the aquariums. Once again, I want to thank every one of you who has contributed to this project! There are still a few big things left to accomplish (mainly the automatic water change system), and the funds have now been completed used up, so if anyone would like to donate to help me complete this project more quickly, here’s a link!
Even though the new tanks aren’t here yet, I have already started moving some of my animals out to the room, starting with my adorable dart frogs (Dendrobates tinctorius patricia) and my friendly leopard geckos. This week I also started a fishless cycle so that once my new aquariums arrive, we won’t have to wait before I can start adding new fish to the fish room. In this video you’ll learn everything you never knew you wanted to know about the aquarium nitrogen cycle and how to do a fishless cycle to safely and properly prepare your aquarium for new fish. You’ll also get to see some ever-adorable footage of the froggies eating some fruit flies! Love these guys.
